“I’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody too?”
~ Emily Dickinson ~
About Me
My grandfather was a writer, and I fell in love with reading and writing from an early age. I went on to get an English degree from the University of Montana.
In my last couple years of school, I began offering to write for companies that sold products I was already using and enjoying. My intention was just to make some extra money while I was in college. I ended up having enough clients to support myself as a freelance copywriter by the time I graduated. I’ve been self-employed as a copywriter / content marketer ever since, and have written for brands of all sizes—from small businesses and startups to household names like Amazon, Univision, Entrepreneur, and CNN.
I’ve authored multiple Amazon Best Sellers, including my guide to content marketing: Minimalist Content Marketing. Other nonfiction works of mine explore acoustic guitar, copywriting, literary criticism, solopreneurship, and more.
I’ve also written a fair amount of poetry over the years, which has appeared in various journals, anthologies, and literary magazines. You can see my publications here.
In addition to all that, I sometimes blog and write essays here on this site.
I hope my writing connects with you!
*(By the way, if you’re looking to hire a writer, I do still take on client work. Please reach out to me here.)
